FANUC’s new SCARA Robots combine speed and precision

FANUC’s SCARA Robots are the preferred choice for enterprises in which robotic assembly of small items is carried out. It is precisely these robots which will be among the technological highlights that the company will focus on during the MachTech&InnoTech Expo 2019 Exhibition.

“These robots can reasonably be regarded as a next technical level in terms of speed and precision,” the company said. Thanks to their unique configuration, SCARA Robots are an optimal solution for picking and placing, assembly, inspection and packaging applications.

The SCARA Robot series includes two SR-3iA and SR-6iA models, both of which have a 360° envelope, and take up little space by virtue of the pedestal-mount design. The SR-3iA model has a payload of 3 kg, 400 mm horizontal reach and 200 mm vertical reach, while the SR-6iA has a 6 kg payload, 650 mm horizontal reach and 210 mm vertical reach. The integrated services prevent the risk of interference with devices.

The SCARA robots are distinguished by the following features:

 – Compact design

 – Easy to restart operability after emergency stoppage

 – 360° envelope

 – iRProgrammer software

 – New R-30iB Compact Plus controller

 – Smart functionality

 – Programming interface

 – Smart features

 – Infinite possibilities

Considering the speed and repeatability of operations, the FANUC SCARA Robots are the optimal solution for increasing productivity in pick-and-place and assembling operations.
