From 14 to 17 the professional platform of metalworking, industrial technologies, software and automation September, gathers the sector in Inter Expo Center
MachTech & InnoTech – the long-awaited exhibition for the sector of metalworking and industrial technologies, software and automation, has started. From September 14 to 17, in compliance with all requirements of the health authorities, Inter Expo Center opens its doors for the business forum, gathering under one roof 136 exhibitors with visitors from Bulgaria and abroad, on an area of over 12,000 sq.m.
The official start was given with a ceremony on September 14. It was attended by Ivaylo Ivanov – Manager of the International Exhibition Complex Inter Expo Center, Boyko Takov – Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (BSMEPA), Vasil Velev – Chairman of the Board of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria ( BICA) and Eng. Iliya Keleshev – Chairman of the Bulgarian Branch Chamber – Mechanical Engineering.
A safe environment is provided
“Thank you for the patience of all – exhibitors and partners,” said the manager of Inter Expo Center, Ivaylo Ivanov. He reminded that extraordinary efforts had been made to launch the 12th edition of MachTech & InnoTech; the vicissitudes related to the global situation have been overcome. “We have provided a safe environment – according to all requirements,” said Ivaylo Ivanov. He reminded that despite the difficulties, for the last year and a half 8 exhibitions have been successfully held in the exhibition center. “Thank you for the patience of all exhibitors, the incredible work of our team and of course – our partners,” said Ivanov and wished success to all present.
The Manager of Inter Expo Center thanked for the exceptional efforts made by the partners Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (AIKB), Bulgarian Branch Chamber – Mechanical Engineering, the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises. This year the agency financed the participation in the exhibition of a record number of companies – 19.
A sector with very high added value
“Bulgaria has traditions in the sector of mechanical engineering, metalworking, industrial technologies and automation. The sector has a very high added value “, said in his speech Boyko Takov – Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises. He thanked the Inter Expo Center and congratulated the team for their efforts.
Boyko Takov pointed out that the exhibitions are an important and working channel for economic development, thanks to which companies find clients, partners and develop their business. In his closing remarks, he expressed the hope that MachTech & InnoTech 2021 will be a fruitful publication for all companies and expressed confidence that the event industry will face a period of positive trends – a key circumstance for companies.
Bulgaria is a country with good and developed machine building
“The world is changing dynamically. New areas are emerging, old ones are disappearing. If only one of the existing sectors remains, it will be that of machine building “, said Vasil Velev – Chairman of the Management Board of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (BICA). After thanking the organizers, he reminded that Bulgaria is a country with good and developed machine building, and mechatronics is the first item in the domestic export – machines, metalworking, equipment, electronics. Vasil Velev reported that the sector, characterized by its high added value, employs over 150,000 people.
The Chairman of the Management Board of BICA reminded of the ongoing efforts and the dialogue with the Ministry of Economy for direct support of investments through the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability. “We hope to convince the ministry to return at least to where we were. This will also be a support for machine manufacturers, as more companies will have the courage to renew their technology park, “he said.
Representatives of leading world companies – MachTech & InnoTech
Eng. Iliya Keleshev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Branch Chamber – Mechanical Engineering, expressed his good impressions of the efforts and results related to the implementation of MachTech & InnoTech 2021. “Here are representatives of leading global companies, Bulgarian innovative enterprises,” he said, noting that the visits and the contacts will undoubtedly contribute to building higher criteria in the development of the companies themselves.
“For almost 2 years, such exhibitions are not held not only in our country, but also in EU countries,” said Eng. Iliya Keleshev. He expressed the opinion that despite the global situation, both the government and the public understand the need for accelerated development of mechanical engineering, which is a key element for progress in both those related to industry and technology in the service sector. In connection with the new operational period 2022-2027, he expressed hope that the possibility of financing projects promoting technological management and innovation will be provided soon. “Without this, it is not possible to introduce digitalization to the extent necessary to increase production efficiency,” he said, thanking the organization.
The current accompanying program
The first day of the exhibition was also marked by the beginning of the large-scale and up-to-date accompanying program of MachTech & InnoTech 2021. On September 14, innovators and visionaries gathered at the International Conference “Challenges to Industrial Transformation”. The event was the result of the joint efforts of Inter Expo Center, the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Bulgarian Branch Chamber of Mechanical Engineering.
