Products made by 3D printing – at the SPACECAD stand

If at the very beginning of the 21st century 3D-technologies were rarely applied in the production process, today they are already massively introduced. Among the proofs thereof are the products made through 3D printing, which the company SPACECAD will demonstrate at MachTech & Innotech Expo 2019 at their stand.

From 15 to 18 April the company will present metal parts and ready units, functional prototypes and spare parts made by 3D printing. “The details are made through the technology of direct metal priniting – DMP, from martensitic and stainless steel. DMP produces details by adding metallic powder layers according to your 3D model “, inform from SPACECAD.

The technology used by the company allows for the production of:

  • Industrial class prototypes, finished products and spare parts
  • Tools and casting moulds, injection and die casting and pressing
  • High-performance industrial parts, incl. for the production of tires and automotive industry
  • Wear-resistant components
  • Extremely sophisticated metal details without needing expensive tooling for this.

The DMP process offers some benefits to customers in need of prototypes of metal parts and small series of metal parts. It shortens production time and eliminates the need for costly tooling equipment. Through the implementation of the process, complex and detailed forms can be produced, which cannot be made using another technology because of the limitations of the traditional manufacturing processes.

The direct metal printing provides high hardness and strength, good wearing and corrosion resistance, good weldability and machinability, excellent thermal and mechanical properties at high temperatures of up to 300 ° C. The typical accuracy of the details is +/-50 μm for small details and +/-0.2% for larger details.

SPACECAD will present their proposals in Hall 2, stand A2.
